Hey Dan, what’s up and how are you doing?
Doing really well. Just enjoying the summer!
You must have been stoked about winning the Westcoast Invitational?
For sure! Ten Grand is always nice.
Any tips for improving airtime?
Go faster.
Can you tell is a bit about yourself and how you turned pro?
I grew up in Minnesota shredding on the small icy slopes until I graduated from High School. From there I moved west to Salt Lake City. After being here for four years and doing some real shredding I went to the Aspen Open and won. Made $2,500 bucks and started to officially ride for Capita and things just moved on from there.
What does a day in the life of Dan Brisse look like?
Depends on the time of the year. During the winter I get up and go boarding every
single day possible unless its a travel day. Summer time I work out and shred at summer camps occasionally.
How do you like your current sponsors, what’s so cool about them?
Really stoked! All of my companies support me so well and that helps a grip load. If it wasn't for my companies helping me do this I would need to be working a job to support myself which would never work.
What would be your ideal setup when you're going shredding?
A super good park, or a really fun back country jump.
And what are your gear tune-ups?
I ride stuff as is. No tune-ups.

Who do you ride with, any favourite riding buddies?
It would be too hard to pick favorites.
Any favourite resorts/places to go ride?
Favorite places in Utah would be either Brighton or Park City depending on the weather.
What about the coming summer, any non-snow plans?
I am going to spend my time up at Camp Of Champions this summer in Whistler.
I went there last summer for a week and was blown away at how good the set-up was.
And travelling, what's in the boardbag and what is a travel necessity?
Couple shred sticks, pair of boots, few pairs of gloves, couple pairs of pants, couple pair of DVS shoes, few hats, few pairs of goggles, a jacket, wax and tuning kit, and stickers. A necessity is the boot dryer for sure.
Anyone you'd like to thank or say hi to?
Yeah, everyone who has helped me get to where I am and for those who continue to believe.
