Interview Bryan Herman part 1
Jarno:
Say eh, how many Wild in the Streets have you done by now?
Bryan:
Ehm, four. We did one in Chicago, one in New York and I did one all by myself in Mammoth.
J:
Huh???
B:
Yeah, there were like 60 kids, we where just cruising around Mammoth, no practically place to go, just rolling around from spot to spot.
After a short interruption by Braydon providing us with some much needed water we take the interview to the next level.
J:
Can you tell us anything about the Emerica Mansion?
B:
Oh man, I’m not sure man, there some crazy stuff going on around there.
J:
First thing on your mind when thinking about the Emerica Mansion..
B:
Ehmm, Leo’s (Romero) birthday! We drank like 10 barrels of beer and 312 bottles of rum. It went on all night without us getting in any trouble.
J:
Did you do any kegstands?
(For the once who don’t know what a kegstand is:)
Kegstand: A happy volunteer is place upside down on a barrel which he holds on to with his hands. Two of his friends/enemies hold his leg so he doesn’t fall over and a third person helps the volunteer drink. After the happy volunteer is done it’s time for his friends/helpers.
B:
Yeah, there was one barrel exclusively for kegstands. There was like whole crowd people lining up to do the kegstands. In the end all the booze was gone! Unbelievable. There where so many people. The party started around 10 in the morning and ended the day after around 6.

J:
Nice, why do your shoes have a cactus on your them?
B:
I’m from the dessert man!
J:
Where you born in the dessert?
B:
No, I was born in Oregon, but grew up in the dessert. I’m actually the only one from the dessert, except for Braydon, he’s from Vegas, but they don’t have any cactuses around there, not as much as where I’m from anyway!
J:
How was it to grow up with the pissdrunx? (Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, Dustin Dollin, Ali Boulala)
B:
Very bizarre, they really know how to party. They drink hardcore and keep on skating. The most of Dustin’s tricks are done half drunk anyway. But now Andrew and the rest kind off left and we took it over.
J:
So where does the next trip go?
B:
We are going to Paris with the rest of the Emerica team. We got an apartment and are going to rip every spot.
J:
Dope! Well that’s about it, no more stupid questions, you can go rip the watergap now.
After this we discuss the variation in cost of certain ‘herbals’ in different countries and Bryan moves on to a game of S.K.A.T.E with a couple of kids.
Thanks Bryan!
