A packed program during the Vans Downtown Showdown this week in Amsterdam. Here's the official schedule so you can make it to all the contests and parties and not miss a thing.

Wednesday, August 1:

 

Welcome to Amsterdam party with Death and Antiz teams:

 

On Wednesday evening, the Vans Downtown Showdown kicks off with the Antiz and Death Skateboards party. A cozy party where you can get tattooed, there will be topless DJs, not to mention drinking games. So if you want a wild evening with the likes of Hugo Liard and Rob Smith, now you know where to go.

 

Location: Café Soundgarden, Marnixstraat 164 to 166, 1016 TG Amsterdam

 

Time: Starts at 10:00 pm

 


 

Thursday, August 2:


Vans halfcab 20 years Party:

 

The birthday of the world famous Vans Half Cab shoe in the Transformer House on the Westergasfabriek site in Amsterdam.  Live music throughout the evening by none other than Ray Barbee, Tommy Guerero and a DJ set by John Cardiel.

 

Time: Starts at 5:00 pm

 

Location: Transormatorhuis, Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam

Friday, August 3:


Vans Legends autograph signing.

 

The day before the Vans Downtown Showdown contest can you score the signature of the Vans legends Tony Alva, Ray Barbee, Steve Cabalero and none other than John Cardiel.

 

Location: Vans store, Amsterdam, 19-21

 

Time: 4:00pm to 6:00 pm


Bowls out with Ben-G @ Marnix Bowl

 

Friday evening head to the Marnix Bowl for a best trick contest with € 1000 prize money.  Come to the Marnix bowl and let Jake Phelps see what you have in store for some money.  Or just stop by and watch while enjoying free beer and BBQ

 

Location: Marnix Bowl, Second Marnixplantsoen, Amsterdam

 

Time: 6:00pm to 10:00pm

 


 

Saturday, August 4:


Vans Downtown Showdown Skate Contest

 

On Saturday, August 4 is the official contest for the Vans Downtown Showdown. All 4 skateboard teams will compete against each other for the prize purse totaling € 50,000 for this day.

 

Time:  12:00pm.  Come early to make sure not to miss this unique contest. 

 

Location: Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam

 

Cost: Free


Monster Energy's Official After Party:

 

Of course you after a long skate contest there has to be a huge party.  Music by Bad Shit (Tony Trujillo) and the Suicidal Tendencies.  Free drinks. Dont' get stuck in line, come early.
